Nov.20, 2007 – US Costs Moderate, Prices Adjusted Down

      Since our announcement of price policy changes on Nov 07, US costs and prices have subsided somewhat. Costs for Canadian materials have dropped from a peak of about $1.09 to a current range of $1.02; about 7% in only 2 weeks. Crude oil and diesel fuel prices still remain near their peaks and as a result railways, truck lines and plastic suppliers have announced price increases for December. However these commodity prices seem to have stopped rising and may soften in the new year.
      Clearly volatility remains very high and future changes are unknown, but the trend looks much better at this time. US customers should still expect current prices for bedding products to be above the levels of October, but the increases should be much milder than we feared.
      Prices for our Northern Lights Wood Pellet Fuel remain low due to warm weather. We now have some very attractive offers on this product in the East Coast & New England regions. Please contact Woody Pet for current pricing offers on all products. (NR071120)

Nov.07, 2007 – Price Adjustment Notice – US Customers

     During the last 8 months the value of the US dollar has fallen rapidly while the price of oil has risen steadily. This trend has accelerated over the last 4 months and both have now reach record levels respectively. The business press is overflowing with information on these problems:

      These rapid changes have resulted in severe cost increases and as a result Woody Pet is forced to respond. Effective immediately all prior US dollar prices and quotations are canceled for all customers. Until some stability returns to these markets, we will no longer be able to offer fixed advance prices. All prices will be set at current market rate at the time of order. Please be sure to check current price when placing an order.

Oct. 1, 2007 – Woody Pet Opens Distribution Warehouse in Buffalo, NY

   A new warehouse and distribution outlet for Woody Pet Products will open shortly in the Buffalo, NY area. Located on the south side of Buffalo in Lackawanna, this outlet will serve customers in western New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond.
   This opening brings Woody Pet's total number of warehouse outlets to 18; including 15 in the USA and 3 in Canada. These warehouses play a key role in allowing Woody Pet to provide reliable, timely and efficient supply of various products to our customers across the country. Generally Woody Pet provides direct delivery to its customers by truck using commercial carriers, while some customers prefer to pick-up their orders at the nearest warehouse.

Sep.26, 2007 - Woody Pet Expands Webstore Service to US Customers

   American customers can now utilize the online shopping services of the WoodyPet Webstore. Upgrades have been added to allow shipping to all 50 states for order sizes up to 325 lbs.
   The webstore prices are listed in Canadian dollars but, due to recent changes in currency values, American customers will find very little difference in their final cost. Since almost all the store products are made in either the USA or Canada there is generally no duty or any taxes charges on US sales . Sep.15, 2007 - Woody Pet Opens Webstore for Online Shopping in Canada

   Canadian customers can now order many Woody Pet products online. The Canadian version of the WoodyPet Webstore opened for business today. This site allows customers in areas not currently served by retail stores to access most of the product line. The webstore also offers many special items not currently distributed through retail outlets.
